The Snowman Showdown is a partner event to the long-running Tier I Paul D. Merritt Holiday Classic (15U - 18U) and the Ocean State Presidential Classic, which takes place on Presidents Day weekend each year featuring 14U and 12U teams. In each of its first two years, this event brought teams from eight states to Rhode Island for a great weekend!

For this event, we are looking for:

• A-/B+ teams — meant for teams who were placed in A but have struggled or teams who were placed in B but have dominated

• B teams

• C/in-house teams

Our goal with all our events is to make them “old school, fun, family” hockey events — think giveaways, contests, mascots, pizza parties, balloons, awards, and more. Rhode Island is called the Ocean State for a reason, and we hope you make it a family weekend of fun and cool experiences, wrapped around some great hockey!

We partner with a local hockey dad who works in the travel industry and helps many local groups and universities. Jim McGuire and his staff at Blue Blazer go above and beyond to help us and our teams. We would ask you to use people who support us and others locally when it comes to hotels, restaurants, and sports shops — more information will follow after registration.

All of our events are also USA Hockey sanctioned, zero-tolerance events and we strive to make this a wholesome weekend of fun, friends, and good hockey! Please complete the registration form below to hold your spot. We expect this event to sell out — so grab your spot today!
