Overspeed Hockey Schools was developed by Randy Jordan, Dave Glick, and Paul Novak after the realization that the five major fundamental skills of skating, stickhandling, shooting, passing, and checking were not receiving enough attention.
As coaches, it became apparent that during the regular season practice plans had to be designed to team play rather than concentrating on the five fundamental skills. Thus, our desire to improve individual players also lead us to assisting coaches in the development of their team.
We believe that in order for a team to win on a consistent basis, players must perfect the five fundamental skills.
Starting with the Sumo System of perfecting all aspects of power skating. We offer a three-day clinic in order to get a firm grasp on the fundamental skills. In addition, we provide maintenance programs to coincide with an existing team during the regular hockey season in order to assist coaches in developing a true fundamentally sound hockey team. Coaches and organizations
can utilize our services to work with the coaching staff in order to promote consistent skill development for all players.
We involve various resources to provide the students with quantifiable data, video analysis, as well as timed results. These techniques allow Overspeed Hockey Schools to track each students progress. We are truly devoted to pushing our students to their maximum potential and beyond. We do this by making sure that the players come off the ice sweaty and smiling and with tangible goals.
